Bob "Bobby" Goble, COL USA (Ret) 

September 11, 1931 - August 29, 2023 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bobby Goble of Hereford, Arizona, peacefully at home on August 29, 2023 at the age of 91. Bobby was born September 11, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Education. He served in the United States Army until 1972, including two tours in Vietnam and service in the 82nd Airborne Division and the 10th Special Forces group. After Active Army duty, he served 14 years in the Army Reserve and progressed to the rank of Colonel before his military retirement. After his career in the military Bobby worked as a civilian with the U.S. Army Intelligence Center and School at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, where he retired in 1994.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty, his three children (and their spouses), Blake (Robert Ransick), Jolie (Karl Bakken) and Brett (Cindy Wallace), three grandchildren, Jade, Margo and Mattea, and two great-grandchildren, Aydin and Walker.

A memorial will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 1:45 pm at the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a bequest to Disabled American Veterans: Bequests-DAV, Fry Chapter 14, PO Box 1014, Sierra Vista, Arizona 85636.
