William Ellsworth "Bill" Wood

William "Bill" Ellsworth Wood, 72, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at his home in Barnsdall, Oklahoma.
Bill was born on Saturday, October 7, 1950, in Waco, Texas to Dr. James Kenneth and Ruth Charlotte (Henry) Wood and to grandparents, Lyda Kate Cheney Wood and James Kenneth Wood of Waco, Texas and Ellsworth Fay Henry and Cleo Walker Henry of Independence, Kansas. Bill's family moved from Waco to Houston, Texas in 1963. He graduated from Texas A & M University with a degree in Engineering then moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma to work as a chemical engineer for Phillips 66 oil company, where his grandfather had worked for many years. He was a member of the Pawhuska Church of God, Pawhuska, Ok. Bill married Kaye Jamison on September 7, 2000. They were married for 18 years before her passing in 2018.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Reva Kaye (Jamison) Wood; his father, James Kenneth Wood; and his mother, Ruth Charlotte Henry Wood.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Rayanna (Wood) Campbell, and her husband, Ryan Campbell; his son, Ryan Wood; Kaye's daughter, Pamela Bruce and her husband, Jeff Bruce; Kaye's step-son, Terry Lane and his wife, Lori Lane; grandchildren, Brennan Wood, Micah Campbell, Jasmine Bruce, Sophie Bruce, Hannah Bruce, Todd Lane, Tanner Lane, and Katie Lane; great-granddaughter, Hadley Ann Lane; his sisters, Lynda Wood, and Lauren Wood Rottet, nephew, Kyle Rottet and wife, Katie Lucia Rottet and their daughter, Lia; niece, Evan Rottet as well as a host of other family members and friends.
Bill loved his family and Kaye with all his heart. He also loved anything trains. Bill was a wealth of information on many topics including family history and could carry on a conversation for hours connecting the dots from the family's early American Heritage to Texas Independence.
Funeral services for Bill were held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 21, 2023, at Parks Brothers Funeral Service Chapel, Chandler, Oklahoma. Interment will be in Jamison Cemetery, McLoud, Oklahoma.
