Gary Sizenbach '61 December 31, 2024 3:19 PM updated: December 31, 2024 3:25 PM

Gary Lee Sizenbach, DVM

August 19, 1939 - December 1, 2024

Dr. Gary Lee Sizenbach passed away peacefully, with many of his loved ones with him, at his home in Spring, Texas. He was born in Davenport, Iowa to Genevieve Reindl Sizenbach and Charles W. "Red" Sizenbach.

He is survived by his wife Mary Jay, sons William Moray Sizenbach and wife Lorri, of Panama City, Florida, Douglas Ralston Sizenbach, of Tomball, and Todd Cole, of Spring, his sister Laura Sizenbach of Onalaska, Texas, and three grandchildren, Hayden, Carmen and Vaun Sizenbach.

Gary was man of many talents. He was an Aggie, a captain in the Air Force, a veterinarian, a real estate developer, a commercial landlord, an entrepreneur, and a loving husband and father. Born to a working-class family, he truly lived the American dream, retiring as a wealthy man. He had many friends, and was a world traveler, an excellent cook, and an avid fisherman. His pride and joy was the beach house he built in Port O'Connor, doing much of the work himself, which is the tallest building in town.

Gary passed away after a nearly 30 year struggle with Parkinson's disease. He will be dearly missed.
