Alford Earl Browning, Jr. 

April 16, 1937 - April 1, 2024 

Alford Earl Browning, Jr. of Euless, Texas departed from his physical life on earth to begin his eternal life with Christ on April 1, 2024. He was 86 years old. Alford was born on April 16, 1937 in Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alford Earl Browning, Sr. and Anne Yanoushek Browning; his devoted wife of 54 years, Doloris Fitzgerald Browning; and his brother, Bob Browning. He is survived by his children, Debra Ann Rogers, Annette Browning Riggan (Larry), Alford Browning III (Sheila); his brother, Ed Browning (Arlene); his sister, Carol Hall (Dr. Wayne); his sister-in-law, Claudia Browning; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Alford attended Texas A&M University where he studied pre-engineering and El Centro Dallas where he earned his MBA in accounting. Alford proudly served his country in the US Marines from 1957 to 1959.

During his career he worked as a programmer for NASA, data systems auditor for Zales Corporation, data systems for Ross Perot, and Executive Senior IT Auditor for Southland Corporation (later 7-Eleven, Inc.). His final career was helping families with estate planning at Legal Shield. Alford spent his retirement years actively volunteering at the City of Euless and Texas Health HEB where he was acknowledged for over 500 hours of volunteer work in the ICU.

Alford was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was an active member at Cross City Church in Euless, Texas and was a faithful volunteer at his church, affectionately called "Mr. Volunteer." He was passionate about sharing his faith with others and had the heart of a servant to his Lord.
