Jacqueline S. "Jackie" (Conrad) Beasley 

August 12, 1943 - January 26, 2025 

Jacqueline “Jackie” Conrad Beasley, currently of San Angelo, Texas passed away January 26, 2025 at the age of 81. She was born on August 12, 1943 in Bryan, Texas to Ervin and Martha (Kindt) Conrad.

Jackie grew up in Kurten, Texas, surrounded by many family members. She attended Kurten School and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan in 1961. She married Reginald “Rex” Beasley on October 21, 1961. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 1987. She was an employee of Texas A&M University Business Services and retired from that position in 1998. She and Rex moved to the Waco area to continue operating their bookstore, Highlander Student Bookstore, in 1999. They retired in 2005 and relocated to San Angelo to be close to their son and his family. They continued to be involved in the bookstore business, helping Mitchell and Lisa run University Student Bookstore in San Angelo. Jackie was raised in a strong Christian home and accepted Christ at a young age. She and Rex were active members in churches wherever they lived, including Glen Meadows Baptist Church in San Angelo until their health would no longer permit it.

Jackie is survived by her husband Rex, son Mitchell Beasley and wife Lisa, all of San Angelo; grandsons Tyler Beasley and Clayton (Amber) Beasley; great-granddaughter Cozetta Beasley; brother, E.W. Conrad; brother-in-law Jerry (Lillian) Beasley; sister-in-laws Verda Beasley, Gladys Beasley, Madeline (Vernon) Keith, Vickie (James) Boriski; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Glen and Allie Beasley; brother-in-laws Billy Beasley, and Larry Beasley; sister-in-law Wanda Morgan.

Visitation will be held at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Harper Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at the Kurten Cemetery, Kurten TX on Monday, February 3, at 2:00 p.m.

Officiants for the memorial service are her grandson, Tyler Beasley, Associate Pastor at West Gate Baptist Church, Trenton, IL and Mack Roller, Senior Pastor at Glen Meadows Baptist Church, San Angelo, TX. The graveside service will be led by Tyler Beasley and Glenn Connor of Normangee, TX.

Pallbearers will be Jackie’s nephews; John Beasley, Chris Beasley, Timothy Beasley, and Kenneth Conrad; and cousin James Conrad.
