It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jamie Damrel Carter, on January 2, 2025, at the age of 64. She passed peacefully in Wichita Falls, Texas surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Born on January 4, 1960, in Beaumont, Texas, Jamie adored being a daughter of Robert and Tena Damrel. Jamie was also a proud graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Economics.
Throughout her early years, Jamie dedicated herself to horses and was an outstanding horsewoman. After her equestrian life, she immersed herself in her son and daughter. As her children grew into young adults, she continued to admire and share their success and stories to all of those around her. Jamie loved having a house full of friends and will always be remembered as a wonderful host. Her selfless love for her family and friends was the cornerstone of her life along with her love for flowers, specifically bougainvilleas. Jamie was always known to be talented and capable of anything, she even spent time substituting where all of her students adored her and were amused with her petite frame blending in with the class.
She treasured the love and support of her church family, and her relationship with Jesus Christ.
In addition to her family, Jamie will truly be missed by all who knew her and her beautiful smile. Her impact on the lives of others will be remembered with fondness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Tena Damrel. She is survived by her children, Robbie and Megan Carter; sister, Anna Dickson; niece, Christen Anderson and family.
