Richard Cecil Leon 

January 14, 1950 - January 27, 2025 

Richard Cecil Leon, 75, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on January 27, 2025, after a lengthy illness.

Graveside Service: 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107.

He was the son of William Robert Leon, M.D., and Violet Mae (Junior) Leon. Richard graduated from Nolan High School in 1968. He attended Texas A&M University, where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in 1973.

Richard was a life-long member of Saint Alice Catholic Church, which later became Holy Family Catholic Church.

He enjoyed a 40-year career in travel sales. He was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and his Texas A&M Aggies. Richard had an insatiable appetite for the study of Meteorology and was always eager to inform whoever he encountered of the weather forecast in their area.

Richard is survived by his brothers, William Robert Leon, Jr. of Round Rock and David Terrance Leon of Bangkok, Thailand; his sisters, Merri Diane Siddons and Aleta Marie Leon, both of Fort Worth; his nephews, Clinton Leon Siddons of Fort Worth and Jared Nathaniel Leon of Alyeska, Alaska; his nieces, Rebecca Anne Smith of Aledo and Whitney Rachel Guzman of Portland; four grand-nephews; and three grand-nieces.
