Robert Edward "Bob" Bell

October 26, 1964 - January 28, 2025

Robert "Bob" Bell, a beloved son, nephew, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, at the age of 60, after years of resilience in the face of kidney-related health challenges. Bob was cherished by all who knew him and held his family, and friends close to his heart.

Born on October 26, 1964, in Mission, Texas, Bob was a proud member of the Sharyland FFA and graduated from Sharyland High School in 1982. He attended Texas A&M University and later earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural science from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and remained an active alumnus and dedicated Javelina football supporter for many years.

Bob is preceded in death by his loving parents, Barbara and Jerry Bell, and his brothers, Tom Bell and David Bell. He is survived by his sister, Jeannette (John) Womack; his sister-in-law, Suzann (Tom) Bell; and a host of cherished extended family members and close friends. Bob was especially proud of his role as “Uncle Bob” to his many nieces and nephews.

Bob had many passions, but his love for his Chihuahuas, Frankie and Tater, held a special place in his heart. He was a competitive shooting enthusiast, an avid gun collector, a movie buff, and a collector of unique treasures. Known for his storytelling, Bob took immense joy in sharing tales from his past and Bell family anecdotes. He was particularly fond of his memories at the flying field, dove hunting with friends and family, and recounting his wild adventures in Reno.

Bob dedicated much of his career to helping the family business grow and thrive over the years. He also earned a reputation for his unmatched skills behind the BBQ pit, and his famous "Bob's Beans" were a crowd favorite.

Bob’s sense of humor was one of his most defining traits. His classic tagline, “Too Wide to Hide,” will forever echo in the hearts of those who heard it, perfectly reflecting his unapologetic nature and the way he never shied away from being exactly who he was. His wit, warmth, and authenticity were constant in his life.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 2 PM, at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Service, at 5921 Yorktown Boulevard in Corpus Christi Texas. To honor Bob’s memory, he requested donations be made to an animal shelter of your choice.

Rest in peace, Bob. You will always be remembered with love.
