James H. "Jim" Dodson 

April 10, 1950 - January 28, 2025 

Jim Dodson, of Bishop, TX, passed away on January 28, 2025 at the age of 74. He was born in Weslaco, TX to Harlen and June Dodson on April 10, 1950. The family lived in Santa Rosa, TX until moving to Driscoll, TX in 1962 and then to Bishop, TX in 1966. He graduated from Bishop High school in 1968.

Jim was a proud alumni of Texas A&M University, where he graduated with a degree majoring in Mechanized Agriculture in 1972. After graduation he began working for Moorman Feed Co. and then various other agriculture and oilfield companies.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Harlen and June Dodson; and brother, Larry Dodson.

He is survived by his daughter, Mindy Dodson; son, Buck Dodson; grandson, Benjamin Davis; aunt, Carolyn Ledbetter Williams; sister-in-law, Debbie Dodson; niece, Kristi (Randy) Kaiser; and nephew, Payton (Jami) Dodson.

A graveside service will be held at Restland Memory Park in Bishop, TX on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11am.
