Amanda Jean Parsons

November 12, 1976 - March 12, 2025

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Amanda Parsons on March 12, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose warmth and spirit touched all who knew her.

Amanda was born on November 12, 1976, in Beaumont, Texas, and lived a life filled with passion, ambition, and love.

Amanda attended Round Rock High School, where she fostered many lifelong relationships. She had a special ability to connect with people, and the friendships she made during those years remained a cherished part of her life.

Amanda was one of the most incredible people you could ever know. Her drive, intelligence, and ability to bring people together shaped a remarkable 20-year career in leadership roles at companies like HP, Dell, and Microsoft. After retiring from Microsoft, she followed her entrepreneurial spirit, launching her own electric bike business, fueled by a passion for innovation and helping others.

Amanda left an indelible mark on this world. Her kindness, generosity, and radiant spirit lit up every room she entered. She had an incredible way of making lifelong friends wherever she went, from Louisiana to California, Texas, and even Bali.

One of Amanda’s greatest joys was helping the people of Honduras. When she wasn’t working on mixing concrete for the village, she was putting smiles on little kids’ faces—without even needing to know the language. Her compassion and selflessness knew no borders, and her impact on those communities will be remembered for years to come.

Above all else, Amanda was a devoted and nurturing mother. She found immense joy in watching her daughters grow and mature, always celebrating their achievements, guiding them through life’s challenges, and cherishing the special moments they shared. Amanda truly loved her girls—they were everything to her. Her unwavering support, boundless love, and the deep pride she had for them will forever be felt in their hearts.

Amanda also found so much joy in watching all four girls excel in club volleyball. She was their biggest supporter, always cheering from the sidelines with pride. Whether it was celebrating victories or offering words of encouragement after tough matches, she loved every moment of being a volleyball mom. The friendships, the road trips, and the thrill of the game brought her immense happiness, and she cherished every memory made along the way.

She was preceded in death by her father, Keith Douglas, and her loving grandmother, Dolores Douglas. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jason Miller; her cherished daughters, Cambria Parsons and Ryah Parsons; her beloved stepchildren, Nola Miller, Fiona Miller, and Fede Smith. She is also survived by her loving mother, Cynthia Rodriguez; her uncle, Karl Douglas; and her siblings, Autumn O’Burke, Ronnie Moon, Briana Rodriguez, and Kristen Rodriguez.

She was loved beyond measure. She will be missed beyond words.

May her light continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77494.
