Ivar Bredo Christensen 

October 12, 1943 - May 29, 2024 

Bredo Christensen, 80, of Kingwood, Texas passed away May 29, 2024. Bredo was born October 12, 1943 to Nell (nee Rowland) and Bredo Christensen Sr. in McAllen Texas where he grew up with his sister Virginia.

Bredo attended Texas A&M University, College Station and started his professional life, mostly in sales, with Pritchett Engineering and Machine and going on to Enpro Systems and lastly with Zimmermann and Jansen as their sales manager.

Bredo was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling for work and for fun with wife Nancy. He was a man who embraced one-on-one, eye-to-eye conversations with loving acceptance and tolerance no matter if one’s beliefs, politics, etc. were different from his. People who knew him always knew he would be honest and forthcoming. Bredo enjoyed almost forty years of continuous sobriety and loving service, and was an inspiration to many.

Bredo was married to his first wife, Kathy, the mother of their three children for twenty years. He is survived by his wife Nancy Christensen of thirty- seven years and his children Bredo Christensen, III (Cindy), Lisa Christensen (John), Brent Christensen (Robyn) and bonus daughter Lara Mayberry. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Marissa Christensen, Sunny and Wills Christensen, bonus grandchildren Amber Pattillo, Amanda Weigle, Corey Weigle and Bryanna Cothran and twelve great grandchildren and niece Donnis Smith (Russell) and Scott Hankal (Leigh).

Bredo was forever grateful for every day he had on this earth and will be missed by all.
