Judith Ann "Judi" (White) Kratochvil

April 12, 1951 - February 17, 2025

Judith Ann Kratochvil, age 73, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, in a Houston hospital surrounded by family. Judy was born on April 12, 1951 to Sam and Gloria White in Cameron, Texas. After graduating from Cameron’s C.H. Yoe High School in 1969, Judy blazed the path for her younger siblings as a 1972 graduate of Texas A&M University, where she fell in love with her husband David Kratochvil. From their amazing love came their daughter Rebekah—Judy’s pride and joy. A devoted mother, she instilled in her daughter that she could do anything she set her mind to—loving her unconditionally and supporting her dreams of figure skating and becoming an attorney to fight for the rights of others. Judy also dedicated 20 years of her life to service as a teacher of English and History, inspiring and empowering the students of Caldwell and Fort Bend ISD to think critically and make smart decisions for themselves and others. The number of lives she touched with her teaching is immeasurable and a part of the legacy she leaves behind. Judy was also a member of the First Colony Church of Christ in Sugar Land where she was known for her compassion and generosity.

A resilient woman, Judy’s faith brought her strength as she is preceded in death by her husband, David Kratochvil of Sugar Land, and her father, Samuel White Sr. of Cameron. Judy was a source of comfort and joy for those around her, and she will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew her.

Survivors include one daughter, Rebekah Ann Kratochvil of Houston; her mother, Gloria White of Cameron; one brother, Sam White of Round Rock; three sisters, Cathy White and Sarah White of Sugar Land, and Susan Fuchs of Cameron. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their children.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Methodist Sugar Land Hospital ER, ICU and surgical teams for their tireless efforts and kindness shown to Judy in her final days.
