Dustin Lee Faulkner
July 27, 1970 - February 15, 2025
Dustin Lee Faulkner passed away February 15, 2025, at home. He was born July 27, 1970, to Mary and Michael Faulkner.
Dustin graduated from Boerne High School with the class of 1988. He held a degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Texas A&M University class of 1994.
After various positions with aviation related companies, he ventured into the medical field. He found a career home with The Center for Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine in San Antonio where he served as a surgical x-ray fluoroscope technician. He absolutely loved his work with the entire surgical staff and physicians.
A man of many interests, he had an enduring love for all things aviation related. He loved being an at home gourmet chef and considered his greatest accomplishment winning the 1st place medal at a recent chili cookoff at work because he had never made chili before! A talented wood craftsman, Dustin made furniture pieces large and small for family and friends. But most of all he considered his cats, dogs, and squirrels part of the family. Summer gardening was also a passion. He possessed a quirky sense of humor which amused many but annoyed some.
Preceded in death by his father, Michael, and grandparents, survivors include his mother, Mary, of Boerne, sister Shannon Mims (Richard) of Ferris, Texas, nephew Michael, and nieces Emilia and Madeleine Mims, as well as his aunt and uncle, Wendy Rozelle and Bryan Small of Eureka, CA. His great Uncle Raymond and numerous cousins of Pensacola, Florida, also survive him.
The family wishes to thank all of Boerne and Kendall county’s first responders for their exceptional service to the family. They also wish to thank the outpouring of love and helping hands from their FBC family and numerous family and friends, near and far.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 11:30am, with the visitation to begin at 10:30am.
