This picture was taken after the 2023 Aggie Muster on the Carnival Spirit as it was going through the Panama Canal. The five Texas Aggies are: Mrs Frances Catchings'73 on the right; Ronald Catchings '65 - Muster Chair on her right, - Richard Chaplin ' 74 to the right of Ronald Catchings, Sheila Chaplin '76 to Richard's right, and Dinah Jacobs ' 91 on the right end. Another Texas Aggie stepped into the room just before we started but had promised his wife to watch the Carnival Spirit to go through the Pedro Miguel locks. The daily schedule had the ship completing the passage before 4:00 p.m., but traffic delayed our transit. We had to use battery operated candles on board the cruise ship for the six names honored.

(Revision2 final) While vacationing on St. Simon's Island, Georgia, ten members of the Class of '77 celebrated Aggie Muster. The candlelight roll call included all members of the class of 1977 and some friends who had passed since last Aggie Muster. The Muster was led by Polly Marek and all others participated by reading Muster poems and playing Muster music. Included were Rae Wilkinson Oldham, Troie Pruett Burch, Rita Volkman Millwee, Ruth Ann Schumacher Burns, Melissa Miller Dewitt, Kathy Kiel Smith, Mary Ellen Martin Davis, Cynthia Dewitt Jordan, and Sharon Rogers Cox. Many days gone by were fondly remembered and the night was capped off with a rounding game Catch Phrase and a large dose of laughter!

Mary Kohler '27 from Conroe High School was the lucky recipient of a newly created scholarship in honor of the recently departed Dr. Walter Wilkerson '51 and given through Montgomery County Aggies. This year McAggies awarded $97,000 in scholarships to high school seniors from our county going to Texas A&M in College Station.

The Moore County A&M Club in Dumas, TX held Muster in the Aggie owned Toppled Turtle Brewery. 25 Aggies gathered to eat, fellowship, and remember those we have lost this year. We were honored to have Aaron Pool ‘87 from The Association of Former Students and his wife Jennifer’88 as our speaker this year. We appreciate them coming all the way to the panhandle to be with us!
