It's official - the Swiss Ol' Army Muster will be in Zermatt, Switzerland. Zermatt is famed as a mountaineering and ski resort of the Swiss Alps. Until the mid-19th century, it was predominantly an agricultural community; the first and tragic ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865 was followed by a rush on the mountains surrounding the village, leading to the construction of many tourist facilities.
We're arriving around noon on Saturday the 19th and we'll meet at the Hotel Elite where some of us have rooms.

Sunday morning, we'll go to Easter Church Service for those that want to join 10am
Then we'll hold our Muster Ceremony outside the church.
After Muster, we'll make our way up to the Kulmhotel Gornergrat which has stood on Gornergrat, Zermatt's most popular destination for excursionists, for almost a century. The hotel's unique location, the breathtaking panorama in the midst of 29 13,000 feet peaks and the pure mountain air – combined with the traditional hospitality of the Valais – have made Kulmhotel a popular venue for climbers, skiers, sun-worshippers and astronomers alike. We'll have lunch up there and then get out and about for an afternoon of hiking!
We'll make our way for Sunday dinner about 8pm.
Monday morning we'll enjoy breakfast and say goodbye for those who need to get on the road or on the train track and adjorn until Aggie Muster 2015!
