Muster 2017 will be held at Doriola's.  We will have the entire restaurant to ourselves! The owners, Janet and John, have prepared a great menu: they are going to smoke their own pulled pork, then have sides of coleslaw, a green salad, buns/cornbread, beans, and dessert. If you haven't ever eaten at Doriola's, you're in for a treat. Everything is made from scratch, and is phenomenal.

We have a special treat this year, as the speaker is flying in from College Station. As Vice President for Development, Nic Taunton leads all fundraising efforts for The Association, from the Annual Fund to endowed giving programs, including the Endowed Century Club, Endowed Aggie Ring Scholarships and memorial and capital gifts. He joined The Association team in 2014 after practicing commercial litigation as an associate with Norton Rose Fulbright in Dallas. Nic earned a BBA in finance from Texas A&M in 2007 and a law degree from The University of Texas School of Law in 2011. While at A&M, he served as Student Body President and was a recipient of the Buck Weirus Spirit Award and the Brown Foundation – Earl Rudder Memorial Outstanding Student Award. He has also served as a consultant of USAID in Rwanda. He and his wife, Brittany ’08, are Endowed Century Club members and are parents to future Aggies Priscilla and Magdalene. I got the chance to meet Nic at the Tennessee game, and he is a great guy.

Food will start around 5:30 PM on the 21st, and Nic will begin speaking around 6:00. The cost will be $26/per person, and there will be a cash bar for beer and wine. Please RSVP as soon as possible to akaggies@gmail.com so I can give the chef a headcount. If you would like to volunteer to read a part of the ceremony, please let me know that as well. Gig 'Em!
