Living the Code - Muster Bio

Larry Collis, Class of 1983, has a truly lifetime connection to Texas A&M University. He is the son of Martin Collis, Jr. (Class of 1941) and the grandson of Martin Collis, Sr. (Class of 1914) and is the father of Sterling Collis (Class of 2017) and if all goes well, Phoenix Collis (Class of 2015).

Mr. Collis is a die-hard native Texan and is very strong with his Christian faith. Only when you put these three things together, (Faith, Texas A&M, & Texas), can you generate a life that is so full of living and giving. He comes to us tonight to talk about Investing in Life and how everything you need to know to live a full and rewarding life, you can learn from Texas A&M.

Professional Background
Mr. Collis is an experienced executive level advisor and consultant that has worked globally in the delivery of complex business, technology, and project solutions. His leadership, problem resolution, and creative solution design has directed successful outcomes in multi-billion dollar mergers and acquisitions, international core banking implementations, and rescues of complex projects exceeding $35 million. Mr. Collis has participated on over 130 projects and service contracts that exceed $2 Billion over the last 33 years. He has worked in 14 countries and flown in excess of 3 million miles and have worked with individuals from around the globe. His ability to connect with people in simple or complex situations has been the key to a successful consulting career. The Leadership skills he’s used throughout his life were taught to him by Aggies and he now teaches young Aggies those skills as an industry coach to the Mays School of Business MBA and CNVE programs.

On a personal note
Besides graduating from Texas A&M, Mr. Collis is a certified Industrial, Vocational, and Technology teacher in Texas and also a certified instructor with the American Institute of Banking, Center for Financial Training, Tata Learning & Development Center, and the Zenger-Miller Corporation. He has worked with numerous volunteer organizations including American Heart Association, American Institute of Banking, Center for Financial Training, United Way, Muscular Dystrophy, Baylor Rehabilitation Center, Lighthouse for the Blind, and the Bryan MHMR Center.
