Rosary for Daryl Piwonka, 49, of Sunray and formerly of Slaton will be 7 p.m. tonight in Englunds Chapel with Deacon Darris Linder officiating. Resurrection Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 in Slaton's St. Joseph Catholic Church, Msgr. Nicolas Rendon and Deacon Darris Linder officiating. Burial will follow in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Daryl was born July 27, 1961 in Slaton. He passed from this life on Oct. 12, 2010 in Sunray.
Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, J. L. and Margie Piwonka.
Daryl graduated from Slaton High School in 1979 and from Texas A&M in 1984 with an agronomy degree. He was an independent crop consult in Sunray since 1984. He was a member of the Kansas Association of Independent Crop Consultants and alumni of Texas Agriculture Lifetime Leadership.
His survivors include his siblings, Sharla Mullen of Canyon Lake, Kim White of Lubbock, Michael Piwonka of Mansfield and Stephen Piwonka of Carencro, La., along with five nieces and three nephews.
