Lev Old Connor
DALHART — Lev Old Connor, 85, formerly of Dalhart, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Denver Avenue Church of Christ, 1420 Denver Ave., in Dalhart with Dean Whaley, minister, officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount
Blvd.
Lev was born Dec. 26, 1925, in Dangerfield to Terrell and Sybil Connor. He served in the Navy during World War II. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in 1950. He was district supervisor for the FMHA in the North Texas District for more
than 20 years. He was also a homebuilder and developer. He continued to support Texas A&M all of his life and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Del Connor; two great-grandchildren, Jessica Hawkins and Kelsey Patterson; three brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include a stepson, Tommy Patterson and wife Martha of Amarillo; a sister, Margaret Ann Youngblood of Brownwood; four grandchildren, Guy Patterson and wife Melinda of Bushland, Joey Patterson and wife Kay of Amarillo, Mykie McClellan and husband Bryan
of Dalhart and Tony McLain and wife Katherine of Houston; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and 17 nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the church on Tuesday.
