formerly of Endwell
Gerald S. Janik, PhD, of Pendleton, NY formerly of Endwell, NY entered into eternal rest, Sunday May 9, 2010, at the age of 69, after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY Jerry received his Masters Degree from Purdue University and his Doctorate Degree
from Texas A & M University in Physical Chemistry. He was a retired employee of NYSEG and was formerly employed at Ecology and Environment and Bell Aerospace Systems. Jerry enjoyed Indy car racing, watching and investing in the stock market and his Polish
heritage. He was a member of Dom Polski and Third Warders Social Club. Jerry and his wife Emily celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on July 15, 2009. Beloved husband of Emily (nee Kisiel) Janik, dearest father of Mark (Dr. Heather) Janik PhD of Hamburg,
NY, Lori (fiance Thomas Shank) Janik, Thomas (Michelle) Janik, both of Endwell, NY and the late Gerard Janik. Proud and loving grandfather of Joseph, Emily and Ryan Janik. Dear brother of Gladys Kosztowniak of North Tonawanda and the late Dr. Eugene (Dorothy)
Janik. also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on THURSDAY May 13 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (716-692-0271) where prayers will be offered on Friday at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian
Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church at 9:30 AM. Interment Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Flowers graciously declined. For those who wish the family suggests memorial offerings may be made in Gerald's honor to the American Cancer
Society or Third Warders Social Club.
