EDNA - Milam Travis Simons Jr., 96, of Edna, died Thursday, July 21, 2005. He was born Sept. 15, 1908, in Edna, to the late M. T. Sr. and Regina S. Gayle Simons. He was a retired county clerk for Jackson County, a retired rice farmer, and a member of First
United Methodist Church and the Rotary Club. Two years ago he was recognized as the oldest World War II veteran in Jackson County. He served in the Army, 381st Combat Battalion in the European Campaign. Survivors: daughters, Dorothy Catherine Boetge of New
