James "Jack" Hodges
(January 25, 1921 - December 5, 2015)

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham with Doby Davis, grandson, officiating. Military honors are courtesy of the U. S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas, and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Hodges was born January 25, 1921 in Ravenna, Texas. He graduated from Bonham High School in 1938. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran serving in WWII earning several citations including a Bronze Star; he was discharged from the service in 1946. Mr. Hodges graduated from Texas A&M University in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural engineering, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pampa and Dumas for many years. He married Bernice Henegar on August 9, 1947 in Bonham. Jack enjoyed playing fast pitch softball and gardening. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Burt.

Survivor included his wife, Bernice Hodges of Pampa; two daughters, Debbie Davis and husband Don of The Colony and Sherry Hodges of Pampa; a son, Jim Hodges and wife Marina of Montgomery; a brother, Ted Hodges of Manhattan, Kansas; six grandchildren, Jamie Achilli and husband Reade, Doby Davis and wife Nancy, Marissa Hodges, Megan Tan, Cody Dollar and wife Amber, and Shayla Dollar; a great granddaughter, Julianna Achilli.
