Ocala - Rex W. Hill, 95, died on March 15, 2017 in his home. He was born in Dallas, TX and lived in Fort Worth, Austin, Bryan, and Corpus Christi. He moved to Ocala, FL in 1984. He worked as an executive for HEB Food Stores. He was a US Army Ordnance Bomb Disposal Captain in Italy during WWII. He was a graduate of both Texas A + M College and Texas University, and was a Protestant. He was an avid reader and a fan of all sports, especially saltwater fishing and horse racing. He enjoyed Big Band Era and C & W Music.
He is survived by Brother George Hill in Torrance, CA; and daughters, Lore Hill and Laura Hill in Ocala, FL.
He was preceded in death by his with of 56 years, Freda, who died in 2001.
