Winston Wayne Loehr
April 26, 1938 - January 7, 2019
Winston Wayne Loehr, 80, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 in Richmond. He was born April 26, 1938 in Peters Community in Austin County, to John Christoph Loehr and Leona Marie Hintz Loehr. Winston was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, Missouri Synod and received
his Bachelor’s Degree in education from A&M College of Texas in 1960. He taught school in Lake Jackson after graduation and then moved his family to Needville where he taught Junior High Mathematics from 1964 until his retirement in 1996. He was a school bus
driver for both school districts. He was a talented woodworker and loved gardening. Winston built the largest 100 unit Purple Martin house in Fort Bend County and spent countless hours watching the birds come and go.
Survivors include his wife, Ellvina Gardinall (Flentge) Loehr, 5 children, Deborah Kay Pike and husband Scott, Susan Marie Schuelke and husband Tommy, Patricia Ann Novak, John David Loehr and wife Suzanne, Cynthia Lynn Diehl and husband Steve, 11 grandchildren;
Dylan Blaine Novak, Brandon Kyle Schuelke, Dalton Reese Novak, Bailey Marie Schuelke, Ryan Christopher Loehr, Kyler Darrell Teykl, Braeden Matthew Loehr, Tanner Winston Wayne Pike, Gretchen Leona Pike, Keeli Danee Teykl, Keigan David Loehr and one niece Dale
Anet Wensel Heinsohn and husband Leslie and their families. Winston was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, May Dell Wensel and husband Leslie.
