Susan "Sue" Owen '94 October 22, 2019 9:46 AM updated: October 23, 2019 8:44 AM

This Saturday, three Aggies — Classes of '05, '13 and '14 — will be on a crew of five flying a U.S. Navy E-2C Hawkeye over Kyle Field before the game against Mississippi State.

The Hawkeye is a 27-ton, all-weather aircraft with a 24-foot radar dish that launches from an aircraft carrier to serve as its early-warning eyes, ears and airborne command center.

Its crew is with the VAW-117 Wallbangers out of Point Mugu, California. If you’re an Association donor, you’re helping provide their hotel accommodations!

Crew:

  • Pilot — Lt. Cmdr. Brant “Bimmy” Brock ’05
  • Copilot — Lt. Charlie “Bobby” May
  • Flight officer — Lt. Greg “Hamsteak” Byrne ’14
  • Flight officer — Lt. Hendrik “Toaster” Streuding ’13
  • Flight officer — Lt. Andrew “Ahab” Garcia
