Before Saturday’s game, two F-16s will pass above Kyle Field flown by Alabama Air National Guard pilots from the 100th Fighter Squadron “Redtails,” part of the 187th Fighter Wing and based in Montgomery, Alabama. Lead pilot Lt. Col. Jeff Simmons is the father of A&M cadet Carter Simmons ’24, a freshman in Company C-2.
Donors to The Association of Former Students proudly help provide hotel accommodations for pilots and crew!

Some of the squadron’s F-16s have tails painted red to pay tribute to a special heritage: The 100th Fighter Squadron is one of the original four Tuskegee Airman squadrons, dating back to World War II. Today, the “Redtails” routinely deploy in support of combat operations around the globe.
The Association is proud to support flyovers as a small way to thank the crews and to contribute to this part of the football gameday experience.
