A former U.S. Air Force chief of staff, retired Gen. T. Michael Moseley ’71, has been selected as the keynote speaker for 2021’s student-run campus Aggie Muster, which will livestream April 21 at MusterLive.AggieNetwork.com.
Moseley is a 2013 Distinguished Alumnus of Texas A&M University and a 2016-19 member of the Board of Directors of The Association of Former Students. He served over 40 years in the Air Force and was the service’s 18th chief of staff. Read more: tx.ag/MoseleyMuster2021.
He led Aggie Musters while deployed and has also served as a Muster speaker for A&M Clubs.
The campus Muster is the largest among hundreds of Aggie Musters typically held worldwide on or near April 21 by Texas Aggies gathering in comradeship and to remember their fallen: tx.ag/FindAMuster.
Like many Muster organizers this year, the student Muster Committee is planning for an in-person event but said that is subject to change based on health- and safety-related conditions.
The campus Muster, which The Association proudly provides with financial support each year, will livestream with other Muster events at MusterLive.AggieNetwork.com; it is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 21 in Reed Arena, and attendees must follow COVID-19 safety protocols, including face coverings and physical distancing.
Find information about local Musters at tx.ag/FindAMuster; register your public or private Muster and get planning assistance at tx.ag/HostAMuster.
The campus Muster speaker is chosen from nominations; learn how to nominate someone for this and other Aggie honors such as Fish Camp namesake, Distinguished Alumnus and more at tx.ag/NominateTAMU.
For local Musters and other Aggie events, you can register yourself as an available speaker in the Speakers Bureau maintained by The Association: AggieNetwork.com/SpeakersBureau. Here, Aggie organizations can search through hundreds of potential speakers by location and topic.
The Muster Live website was created in April 2020 by The Association so that thousands of Aggies and family could unite virtually in watching the campus Muster, Worldwide Roll Call and other Muster-related events. These events will again be livestreamed at MusterLive.AggieNetwork.com on April 21, 2021; the Worldwide Roll Call will begin at 6:51 a.m. Central (sunrise).
Each Muster calls its own roll of names. To learn more about this and how to ensure an Aggie’s name is placed on the Worldwide Roll, visit tx.ag/AddAName.
The names called at the campus Muster in Reed Arena are mainly those of current students, Aggie relatives of current students, Aggie faculty/staff and the 50 Year Reunion Class: tx.ag/Criteria. View the current list here; it is maintained by the student Muster Committee.
Every name on the Worldwide Roll, typically more than 1,600 names, is read aloud and answered with “Here” by The Association in the Worldwide Roll Call reading each April 21. The Association began this tradition in 2018 to ensure no Aggie's name would go uncalled, and livestreams the reading each year. View the current list of names at tx.ag/RollCall.
Your donations allow The Association of Former Students to provide support to the student Muster Committee and to hundreds of local Musters, to maintain the Worldwide Roll of names and to send hundreds of thousands of Muster invitations. Thank you! You can make a gift of any amount at tx.ag/give.
