John William Anderson III
December 14, 1980 - February 17, 2021
John Anderson, a cherished son, brother, husband, and father, and friend went home to the Lord on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
He is survived by his parents Donnie and Donna; his children Hunter, Hailey, Caleigh, John, and Aubree; his grandparents Don, and Myrtle; brothers Matthew and Alexander; and will be lovingly remembered by all of his family and friends.
He is predeceased by his wife of 10 years, Jamie.
John was born in Houston, TX on December 14, 1980. He graduated from Canyon High School in 1999 before joining the Navy, where he served as a Petty Officer 1st Class. He was a devoted family man, always striving to provide the best for them. A faithful Christian,
never missing an opportunity to let people know he cared. A son who made his mother and father proud. A role model as a big brother. A reliable friend and mentor to others. A comic relief when he sensed sadness in the room. His goal in life was to attend Texas
A&M, from childhood. He achieved that goal, obtaining his MBA, while working for the Memorial Hermann Hospital where Hailey was born.
He later moved onto CHI St. Luke's as a Director of Performance Excellence. As John did, he excelled in his work, leading him to an executive position as Vice President of Business Development for Houston Heavy Machinery. You'd think he would stop there, but
he also mentored students at the Mays Business School at Texas A&M. Lastly, his final career venture was to teach Lean Six Sigma at A&M, as a junior professor.
He will always be remembered for his laugh, his bear hugs, his generosity, his thoughtfulness, his love for everyone, his presence, and will be greatly missed.
