James Browning Akin, age 68, of Goliad, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. James was born June 26, 1953.

James was a student at Texas A&M University and received his Master's degree in Soil Science. He was a member of the Class of 2001. 

He worked for the United States Department of Agriculture as a Soil Scientist. 

A visitation for James will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.

A funeral service will occur Monday, September 27, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.

A committal service will occur Monday, September 27, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
