Marvin H Bender

Marvin H. Bender passed away after a long, full life on Friday, November 5th 2021.
He was born on April 4th 1927 in Breckenridge, Texas and was a devout Aggie. He attended Texas A&M University and graduated with degrees in Petroleum and Mechanical Engineering.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bertha Bender, His in-laws, Frank and Lena Brookner, and his brothers Gerard (Thelma), Emanuel (Jo), and his sister Sybil Lubarr.
He is survived by his wife Jo Ann Brookner Bender, his sons Ralph (Edie) and Frank Bender. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeffrey (Chelsea) Bender, Ashley (Aaron Anderson) Bender, Cody Bender, and Rebecca Bender, as well as his great-grandsons, Elijah Bender and Kaplan and Gideon Anderson.
He loved his wife and family, Texas A&M, and the Petroleum Engineering that took him all across the globe.
A graveside service will be held at the Jewish Cemetery 1415 North St. Baton Rouge, LA 70806 at 11:00 a.m. Monday November 8th 2021.
