Scott Hayden Pegram
July 23, 1987 - December 29, 2021

Scott Hayden Pegram went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2021.

Scott was born in Plano, Texas on July 23, 1987, to Ronald Joe Pegram and Rebecca Ann Davidson Pegram. Scott met the love of his life, Lauren Anne Archer, when they attended kindergarten together. Lauren became Scott’s bride in 2013, and they enjoyed a wonderful and fun marriage. Scott and Lauren have two precious children, Charles Scott (3) and Mary Ruth (1). With his family, Scott lived in Aledo, Texas and attended Christ Chapel Baptist Church.

Growing up in Plano, Scott enjoyed a special relationship with his parents, his brothers, John and Todd, extended family and so many other life-long friends from the Plano community.

Scott attended Plano West Senior High where he graduated with honors in 2006. While there, he received varsity letters in both football and baseball. In football, he excelled at the linebacker position, and in baseball he received all district and all-state honors.

After high school, Scott attended Texas A&M University as part of the 2010 graduating class. He graduated with a BBA in both Finance & Supply Chain Management. Scott was also an active member of the KA fraternity and had a tremendous group of Aggie buddies.

Post college, Scott enjoyed a successful career in the oil & gas industry. Scott spent four years at Halliburton as a Logistics Supervisor and five years at RL Walker Transport as VP of Operations. Recently, Scott transitioned into a position as CEO at Rickman Transport.

Scott loved spending time with family and friends, everything Texas A&M, hunting, fishing, hanging out at the lake, and cooking. As the youngest brother of three, Scott was a natural competitor and had a strong passion for playing and watching any and all sports. He was a tremendously talented young man and excelled in so many areas.

Scott held a special place in the hearts of those who knew him well. Scott was a gregarious, caring person who always had a positive attitude and a smile on his face. His gentle, yet fun-loving personality made it easy for him to befriend anyone he encountered. Scott never knew a stranger and could never have too many friends. The way Scott lived his life and treated others had a positive impact on so many people.

As a loving husband and exceptional father, brother and son, family and faith were especially important to Scott. He always took the time to hug and say, “I love you.” He loved the Lord and lived a life pleasing to God. We will all miss his big smile, his laugh, his loving heart, and his overall precious ways. He truly was a bright light to those around him.

Scott is survived by his loving wife Lauren Anne Pegram; precious children Charles Scott and Mary Ruth Pegram; parents Ronnie and Becky Pegram; brothers John Pegram and his wife Leslie, Todd Pegram '06 and his wife Jennifer; nieces and nephews John Holice, Hattie Jane, Joe Henry, Huston David and Caleb Paul Pegram; maternal grandparents David and Julia Davidson; father and mother in law John and Karin Archer; brother in law Matt Archer and his wife Rose and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
