Justin Rey Magtubo
Apr 11, 2000 - February 01, 2022

Justin Rey Magtubo, 21, passed away February 1, 2022. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Jose Prenio. Left to cherish Justin’s memory are his parents Rey and Ping (Prenio) Magtubo; brother Jeff Magtubo; grandparents Potenciano and Merlita Magtubo, and Adelfa Prenio; and a host of many other dear family, relatives and friends.

Justin was born in Kidapawan City, Philippines. He was the first child and first grandchild born on his mother’s side of the family, and the first grandchild to carry the Magtubo name on his father’s side of the family. Justin’s family migrated to the United States when he was 4 years old.

A loving son, brother and friend, Justin also had a love for animals and bonsai plants. He loved to read books of different genres but if given the time he would have chosen to stay in the Graphic section in the library. He loved to explore nature and collect souvenirs from the places he visited. In his spare time Justin enjoyed playing online games with friends. When at home he loved to play the piano. He was a food lover who especially enjoyed cooking and eating international cuisines.

Justin studied Electrical Engineering with a minor in Math and Cybersecurity at Texas A&M University from 2018 up to the time he joined our Heavenly Father. While at Texas A&M, Justin did Kendo, a traditional Japanese style of fencing. He was planning to travel around the globe once he finished college.

Justin looked quiet and shy to people who didn’t know him. However, he was a person with a good and caring heart. Justin’s nature was to love and he in turn is loved by so many. His sudden passing brought great sadness, but our big FAITH in our Lord gives confidence that HIS plans are way much better than our own. We are assured that Justin is now in a better place in heaven singing songs of praise and worship. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5 was his favorite Bible verse.
