David Eugene Kight
November 28, 1957 - June 23, 2021

David Eugene Kight of Tronadora, Costa Rica, formerly of Sherman, Texas, went to his final resting place on June 23, 2021.

David was born on November 28, 1957, in McAlester, OK.  David was a graduate of Van Alstyne High School in 1976; he received his undergraduate degree from his beloved alma mater Texas A&M University in College Station, TX; and his Masters from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.  Through David’s school, careers, and travels, he has made many lifelong friends.

David is survived by his wife, Evelyn Kight of Tronadora, Costa Rica; mother Judy Kight of Howe, TX; son Kyle Kight and wife Katie of Stinnett, TX; two daughters, Morgan Holloway of Southlake, TX and Jordan Kight of Sherman, TX; 5 grandchildren; and sister, Shelly Neill of Van Alstyne, TX.

David was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Kight and sister, Tina Brown.

David wished to remain in Costa Rica after his passing but a marker will be placed in the Van Alstyne Cemetery to commemorate his life.
