Randall Parker
August 27, 1947 - February 10, 2022

Randall Parker, 74, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Thursday morning, Feb. 10, 2022, in Carthage. Carl Randall Parker was born on Aug. 27, 1947, in Nacogdoches, TX to the late Harry Randall and Alma Carline Reynolds Parker.

He graduated from Bay City High School with the class of 1965. Randy attended Texas A&M University and then joined the U.S. Navy from which he was honorably discharged. After the Navy, he returned to A&M where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in 1973.

Randy later attended Central Michigan University where he earned a Master’s Degree in International Business in 1989. He enjoyed a long career in the oil and gas industry working as an engineer and later as a consultant owning his own business, Parker Drilling Consulting, Inc.

Randy married Nita Mathilda Danovsky on Jan. 11, 1986, in Denver, CO. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Randy also enjoyed hiking, gardening, and after retirement, he loved learning to cook.

He is survived by his wife, Nita Parker of Carthage; daughter, Stacey Glavosek and husband Steve of Pearland; granddaughter, Maegan Hunter and husband Nick of Pearland; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Brad Parker and wife Elsie of Moore, OK; and sister, Carla Jo Parker of College Station.

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Tenaha. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Steve Henson, Mike Domino, Mark Stringfield, Brandon Istre, Bob Haygood and Jack Angel.

Honorary pallbearers are Randy Earley, Werlyn Bourgeois, Cliff Fancher, Bob Browning and Pat Browning.
