Mark Arnold Batts
September 11, 1972 - March 23, 2022
Mark Arnold Batts was born on September 11, 1972, in Denison, Texas to Robert and Iva Nell Batts. He died on March 23, 2022, in the same neighborhood he spent his childhood and most of his adult life, he was 49 years old.
Mark was a graduate of Denison ISD like the rest of his family and spent his time in school involved in the drumline, where he made lifelong friends. He went on to Texas A&M where he successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree. Mark loved to explore the idea of new inventions from a young age and carried this fascination into reality as he developed his business Batts Audio, Video, and Lighting, Inc. Since 1998 he not only has established his own business but helped schools all over Texas with their Technical Theater departments and mentored many students along the way. In 2018 Mark was recognized and awarded as #8 out of 100 fastest growing Aggie-owned businesses in the world.
His greatest joys were his family whom he loved spending time and talking in depth with, his cats, anything Aggie related, and his Savior Jesus Christ.
Mark was proceeded in death by his mother Iva Neil Batts, his father Robert Batts, and his sister Terry Waggoner. He’s survived by his brother Roger & Stefanie Batts, his stepmother Sylvia Batts, his nieces and nephews Jordan & Megan Batts and their children, Christina Waggoner Hall and her children, Scott Waggoner, Ashley & Gerald McQuade, Bryan & Kelsie Batts, his brother-in-law Paul Waggoner, Aunt Sue & George Baker, Aunt Hazel Winkle, stepbrother Chuck & Bobbie Brown and their children, and stepsister Leslie & Justin Banks and their children.
