Kent Michael Mize passed away on May 7, 2022 in Houston, Texas. He was born on August 3, 1949 to Woodrow and Thyra Corley Mize in Huntsville, Texas.

Kent graduated from Huntsville High School and earned a BS degree in Physics from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. After working for several different companies as a technical writer, he retired only to continue in the same field as a consultant.

Kent was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Thyra Corley Mize. He is survived by his cousins; Monte D. Lawlis, Judy Beene, Marcia Crouch, Nell King, Jerry Plaster, Wesley Corley, Lynda Jancie, Elaine Hickey and Anne Parrott.

A graveside service, under the direction of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home - Huntsville, will be Friday, May 13, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Adickes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery, 9th Street and 900 Block of MLK Blvd., Huntsville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kent's name to First Baptist Church of Huntsville, 1229 Ave J., Huntsville, Texas 77340. Memorial condolences to the family may be made at www.shmfh.com.
