Carolyn Richardson Potter
January 10, 1959 - August 27, 2022
On August 27th we lost a beautiful soul, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. At the age of 63, she was taken too early and will be missed beyond words by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents John and Vivian Richardson and survived by Ryan and Marissa Jordan, Tyler and Ashley Jordan, 4 sisters, one brother, a plethora of grandchildren and lifelong friend and co-parent Gary Jordan.
Her biggest joys in life were her 2 sons Ryan and Tyler Jordan whom she loved with every fiber of her being until the very end. A devoted sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. All to whom had the pleasure to know her, benefited from her warm glow and open mind.
All her life she wanted to get her education and she did just that. The first steps of her dream were graduating from Angelo State University. Followed by her greatest adventure, attending Texas A&M where she made her greatest educational accomplishment by obtaining her master’s degree. This achievement brought her unbelievable joy and pride for the remainder of her life. Like many other adventures in her life, she put her head to it and made it happen which is a lesson that we will all take with us.
Her greatest past time in life was to research and create. Whether it be a new way to do her job as a CPA more efficiently or creating a whole new world with new rules and characters for books. She would spend hours brainstorming possibilities of the world we live in and was fully devoted to realizing what could be. Little did many know that, amongst her many talents and devotions, she was an aspiring author and an inventor! She would spend her free time working out the rules to the new worlds she would create and bring out from that fascinating stories of those that lived within these new realms. She was a great conversationalist, spending hours on the phone in which one could talk to her about anything and everything under the sun.
Service will be held at Waller Thornton Funeral Home in Huntsville, TX on September 3rd beginning at 11:00 AM with the main service starting at 1:00 PM presided by Pastor Dan Moon. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the funeral home to aide in the sudden financial burdens.
