Joseph Aaron Minjares 

August 20, 1984 - March 18, 2023

Joseph Aaron Minjares, of McKinney, Texas, a devoted son, brother, husband and proud father of four beautiful daughters, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2023 at the age of 38.

Aaron was born in Mesquite, Texas on August 20, 1984 to Jose Edwardo and Irma (Duran) Minjares.

After graduating from Naaman Forest High School in 2002, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Bioenvironmental Sciences from Texas A&M University where he was a member of the 2006 class Corps of Cadets. His ambitious nature brought him to Houston where he met and fell in love with his wife Regina (Smith) Minjares in 2010. They were married on September 20, 2014 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Carrollton, Texas.

Aaron happily enjoyed being active in the lives of his family and community. He was enthusiastic about cooking delicious meals and playing any game, especially soccer. He loved to cuddle up with his girls and watch movies, recount stories to anyone who would listen and 'MacGyver' creative solutions to any problem. He was always a friend to everyone and his boisterous laugh will resonate in our hearts forever.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Regina, and children, Mia (7), Seylah (5), Cecilia (2), and Jordyn (10 months); parents, Edwardo and Irma of Garland, Texas; sister, Monique Kunkel and husband, Michael; brother, Jacob and wife, Christina; sister, Laura Cole and husband, Nathan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 beginning with visitation and a rosary at 10am, followed by a mass at 11am at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Allen, Texas.

A celebration of Aaron's life will also be held later this year.
