Lola Ana Garcia

August 24, 1979 - March 25, 2023

Lola Ana Garcia, of Austin, Texas, passed away March 25, 2023.  

Lola graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture. During her studies, Lola was one of a few people in her class to earn a highly competitive internship with Disney World in Florida. After graduation, Lola quickly earned a stellar reputation in Austin’s landscaping world, which led her to opening her own landscaping company. With Lola’s hard work and dedication, she quickly turned her company into a success, gaining many clients across Austin and San Antonio.

Lola had a very active lifestyle outside of work. She ran numerous marathons, and hundreds of other races of varying lengths. She enjoyed road races, obstacle races, trail-runs, and competitive rucks in locations around the United States. Through these events, she made many friends.

Lola was a very generous person and was always willing to help a friend or stranger in need, no matter how large or small the need might have been. She cared for every person she knew, and was a champion for animals as well. Lola had multiple pets over her lifetime, was involved with rescues, and cared for many neighborhood strays over the years as well.

Lola was preceded in death by her biological mother, Mina Cerda, and her maternal grandparents.

Lola is survived by her mother, Helen; father, Ted; brother Ted Jr.; brother Carlos, his wife Hannah, their children, Micah, Jacob and Emma; a large extended family; and an incalculable number of friends.
