Ronald “Ron” Kent Lahr, 59, of Sullivan, passed away on Tuesday September 21, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Chillicothe TX, on June 5, 1962 to Keith Lahr and Patricia (Lansdown) Lahr.
He was a graduate of Texas A & M University in College Station TX, with Magna Cum Laude honors, and had become an Accountant for the Marathon Oil Company, traveling all over the world including Africa and his favorite place, Russia.
Ron enjoyed being outdoors in his free time; loved nature walks, bird watching, camping, and hiking, especially in Southwestern Colorado. His love for the church was most important to him having attended the Abundant Grace Church, teaching Sunday School classes, scripture readings and playing the piano. It had become apparent to all those who knew Ron that his love for Jesus, his Lord and Savior was the highest priority in his life. Preceding him in death are his parents of Ouray CO.
Survivors include his brother Randall Lahr of Los Angeles CA., his sisters, Cynthia Lahr of Ouray CO, Gail Lundberg and her husband Brad of Whitney TX, a niece Dr. Lindsay Lundberg of Albuquerque NM, 2 nephews Brady Lundberg of Whitney TX, Brandon White of Longmont CO, and many cousins.
Services will be at the Abundant Grace Church (671 W Wolf St. Sullivan IN, 47882) at 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 25, 2021 with Pastor Tommy Pearison officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at Holmes Memorial Chapel from 4-8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ouray CO, close to his parents.
