Jesse Andrew Barrera 

May 25, 1990 - October 3, 2023 

Jesse Andrew Barrera, age 33, of Houston, Texas, passed away on October 3rd, 2023. He leaves behind parents Jesse and Mirna Barrera, younger brother Alec Barrera, his partner Grant Lippincott, and so many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends for whom he cared so deeply. He was born in Houston, Texas on May 25th, 1990.

Andrew graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 with a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Distribution. Andrew met his partner Grant Lippincott in Houston in 2017, and the two built a loving partnership for almost six years. Andrew worked for ABGi as an associate director of tax consulting for the last 18 months.

Andrew had such passion for the people, animals, and things he loved so much. Devoted to family, Andrew cherished the time he spent with his parents, his brother Alec, and his partner Grant. Andrew loved travel and always looked forward to the next trip - often while the last suitcase still waited to be unpacked. He was a loving dog and cat “dad” and cared so deeply for Helo, Callie, and Octavia. He loved music passionately, from his time in choir to his ever-present place on the karaoke stage. From his career, to his personal life, to his family relationships, people were always so central to Andrew’s life.

Always a people person and the life of the party, Andrew cared for so many and held a unique empathy that connected him to friends, co-workers, and family instantly, deeply, and forever. He will be missed by so many, but remembered so fondly as a special person in our lives. His glowing smile (with the dimples known and loved by so many) will remain a light in our lives and hearts forever.
