Sharon Paula (Mullaly) Moore 
September 7, 1952 - November 10, 2023 

Sharon Paula (Mullaly) Moore, 71 of Lebanon, CT passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at Backus Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Kenneth Mullaly and Virginia E. (Stickens) Mullaly.

Born on September 7, 1952, in Beverly MA, she spent most of her youth growing up in Ledyard, CT. She enjoyed activities such as field hockey, softball and antiquing with her parents. She loved animals and had English Setters consistently in her life. Sharon was extremely talented in archery and she qualified for the junior Olympics as a Master Archer. She was actively involved in the Future Farmers of America (FFA), where she was in the original chapter of the Ledyard Regional FFA chapter. She discovered her lifelong passion of agriculture and showing dairy cattle at local fairs.

Upon graduation from high school, Sharon attended Cobleskill University, where she received her Associates Degree. Then she continued her education at Texas A&M University earning her Bachelors degree. Sharon was immensely proud to attend this University and be a part of their rich traditions.

Sharon became an Agriculture Inspector with the State of Connecticut Department of Agriculture, where she retired after 32 years in 2009. She continued to immerse herself in the agriculture community, where she instilled her love of showing dairy cattle into her surviving daughters. She was active in 4H and FFA with her daughters. She welcomed anyone and everyone into her home “the farm” with open arms. She became a mother to countless number of her daughter's friends.

Sharon was pre-deceased by her parents, and brother, Kenneth “Skip” Mullaly. She is survived by her daughters Virginia “Ginny” Moore and her son Christopher Sarnik, Rebecca “Becky” Wilson, (Ronney) and their daughter Maya Wilson. She is also survived by her Aunt Elaine (Dan) McIntyre, cousins Dan (Diana) McIntyre and their children and Vicki (Michael) Ouimet and their children, cousins, William Creesy, Brenda (David) Soares and their children, Wendy (Kevin) Gannon and their children and nieces Emma Mullaly and Janna Mullaly, along with many other friends who became family and loved ones who became her kids.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday Dec 2, from 12 to 4PM at Stonecroft Country Inn 515 Pumpkin Hill Rd, Ledyard, CT 06339. The family is asking that, if you would like to honor Sharon's love of FFA and Texas A&M by please either wearing maroon and white or the FFA blue.
