Maryann Cusimano

February 20, 1961 - March 20, 2023

Mary Ann Cusimano, 62, departed this earthly plane on April 20, 2023, in College Station, Texas.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Mary Ann came to Texas to pursue a graduate degree in Geology at Texas A&M University. Thanks to her intellectual curiosity, she spent years sailing the world aboard RV JOIDES Resolution with the Ocean Drilling Program, volunteering at local museums, serving on the Brazos County Historical Commission, and (most recently) working as a historic interpreter at Barrington Farm. One of her major accomplishments is spearheading the effort to place a Texas State Historical Marker at the Boonville Cemetery.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mary Rasinya Cusimano.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ed Baxter; daughter, Rhea Baxter; stepson, David Baxter and his wife, Cassandra, with children Isabella and Maddox; stepson, Michael Baxter; brother, Eric A.L. Cusimano and his wife, Linda of Wentzville, Missouri; and many friends and devoted colleagues.

Mary Ann will be remembered for her subtle wit, compassion for others, and utter refusal to live an ordinary life.
