Della May Booth Colburn 

July 29, 1945 - December 1, 2023 

Della May Booth Colburn of Cameron, TX entered her eternal home on December 1, 2023. Della was born in Lynchburg, VA on July 29, 1945, to Florence Lee Stenson Booth & Wilbert Webster Booth. She was raised in Houston, TX. She graduated from Waltrip High School prior to attending Sam Houston State University. While at SHSU, she met and married Albert Edwin Colburn, her husband of 59 years.

Della graduated from Texas A&M University. She was an educator in the Bryan, TX & Monticello, AR public school systems. After retirement, she & her husband moved to Cameron, TX.

In her high school years, she enjoyed dance nights with the Kanteen Kats (a group of friends who remained close for a lifetime). Della loved taking care of her elderly mother, her family and pets. Her favorite pastime was shopping.

Della was preceded in death by her mother, father and step-father, Egbert P. Epperson. She is survived by her husband, Albert Edwin Colburn, son Jon Colburn and wife Michele, daughter Janet Colburn. Also, grandchildren Jared Bard, Shelby Todd Malazzo and husband Alan, Jon Harrison Colburn and wife Maddi and Kenzie Colburn.

Graveside services will be at Boswell Cemetery near New Waverly, TX.
