Benny E. Acock, Lt Col (Ret) 

November 1, 1927 - November 24, 2023 

Lt Colonel (Ret) Benny Earl Acock passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 96.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Glendene Olsen Acock. A native of Corsicana, Texas, he and Glendene had made their home in Mary Ester, Florida since 2000.

A son, brother, husband, dad, grandad, great-grandaddy, and great-great-grandaddy. He was a Christian, an Air Force pilot, a preacher, a bible teacher, a private pilot, a High School teacher, an Executive pilot, an instructor pilot, a friend, a mentor, and a man of God. He is finally relieved from the chains that tied his brain in knots for years and can now see clearly, hear clearly and think and communicate clearly. THANK YOU, GOD!

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, December 8 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
