Ronald D. Crone 

April 15, 1949 - November 12, 2023 

Ronald Douglas Crone was born on April 15, 1949 to Mary and Walter Crone, Jr. He passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home on November 12, 2023 in The Woodlands, Texas.

He attended high school in Okinawa, Japan, graduating in 1967 and also attended Texas A&M University, graduating in 1971. Ronald served in the United States Army for 25 years. He retired in 1993 as a Major. After retiring from the United States Army, Ronald worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in the Sociology and Parole Departments until he retired in 2013.

Ronald married Catherine Constable on September 5, 1975. They welcomed two daughters Amy & Sarah.

As a long time member of the University Heights Baptist Church, he was an active member of the Boomers Sunday School Class.

Ronald’s favorite pastime was watching college football and playing racquetball in his earlier days. He also enjoyed camping with the Boy Scouts of America.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine of 48 years. Two daughters Amy Lopez of Huntsville and Sarah O’bryan (Diana) of Derby, Kansas. 4 grandchildren. Ronald is also survived by his sister Marcia Williams of Vernon, Texas. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Walter Crone, Jr.

Please join us on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Heritage Oak Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1pm with service to follow at 2pm. Graveside service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Houston National Cemetery.
