Bobby Jack "Bob" Arnold 

August 5, 1950 - June 4, 2024 

Bobby Jack Arnold was born on August 5, 1950, to Archie Clint and Bessie (Hare) Arnold in Gladewater, TX. He went home to his Savior on June 4, 2024. He was a good and faithful servant and an elder at the Southside Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant, TX. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1968 and from Texas A & M University in 1972.

In his 52-year accounting career he served countless families as a CPA, advisor, and friend. He was a preacher, teacher, song leader, camp counselor and a coach. He loved people and did his best to be sure they knew it. He will be missed more than words can convey.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Dinah Walker Arnold; children, Jennifer & Jerry Wildman, Andrew & Kristen Arnold, and Luke Arnold all of Mt. Pleasant, TX; grandchildren, Madelyn, Preston, Kanaan, Koralee and Krosslynn Arnold, Tiffany & Chad Waller, and Josh Wildman; brother and sister-in-law Kris & Susan Arnold. Sister and brother-in-law Sandi & David Banks, brother-in-law and sister-in-law George & Lori Walker, sister-in-law Sharon Walker Priefert & husband Bill, and many generations of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and outlaws- you know who you are.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Bess Arnold; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Boots and Edith Walker; brother, Kent Arnold; brother-in-law Royce Walker and sister-in-law Tilda Walker Allen.

Services will be held at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home on Friday June 7, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, funeral service at 11:00am, and burial to follow at Cooper’s Chapel Cemetery.
