The Book of Aggie Lists by former Corps of Cadets commandant Col. James Woodall '50 contains many rosters of Aggies who served in wars, were decorated or died in the line of duty. It was published in 2020 by the Texas A&M University Press as part of the Centennial Series of The Association of Former Students.

For his 2024 Texas A&M University honors undergraduate thesis, Jackson Baker '25 worked wth a team of history research interns to create the first comprehensive list of Aggies still listed as missing in action from World War II to 2024. Baker’s thesis is the source for the World War II, Korea and Cold War MIA lists above and contributed to the Vietnam MIA list above. An interactive website presenting Baker's findings, with maps and more details about many of the Aggies named, is at tx.ag/TheDutyOurs. Plans are to continue adding material to the site.
