The flyover planned for the Oct. 5 game against Missouri will feature four UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and soldiers of the 11th Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigade, the 7-158th Aviation Regiment and Alpha Company.
One Aggie will be part of this weekend's crew, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Christopher Frank '07.
In addition to the flyover, there will be a public Army helicopter display at Simpson Drill Field at 9 a.m. on Friday Oct. 4, as well as a contracting ceremony for Army cadets at 2 p.m. Take-off is scheduled between 3-4 p.m.
Support for gameday events is a small part of The Association's mission to serve Texas A&M and all Aggies, both current students and former students, and also highlights Aggies' continuing tradition of service to their country. The Association provides support each year for hundreds of Texas A&M scholarships, student organizations, former student programs, A&M traditions and more, thanks to gifts from some 60,000 annual donors.
