On behalf of The Association of Former Students, I am pleased to announce Megan Hamlin ’09 as our new Director of Former Student Programs. Megan is a proud two-time graduate of Texas A&M University, holding a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and a Ph.D. in educational administration.
With over 15 years of experience in higher education, Megan brings a wealth of expertise to our team. Her impressive professional background includes leadership roles in student activities, new student and family programs, international education, and case management. Most recently, Megan has been pivotal in facilitating student mobility programs between Texas A&M University at Qatar and the main campus in College Station.
Megan’s connection to the worldwide Aggie Network is both deep and inspiring. A Buck Weirus Spirit Award recipient, she has served as a Young Alumni Advisory Council member, Aggie Ring Day volunteer, and Buck Weirus Spirit Award Selection Committee member. While living in Virginia, she played a key role in organizing the Blue Ridge A&M Club Muster, exemplifying her commitment to fostering the Aggie spirit and upholding cherished traditions. A 15-year Century Club member, as a student, Megan was instrumental in creating an Aggie Ring Scholarship in memory of her college roommate, Lauren Lewis ’09.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys fishing and working cattle alongside her husband, Jarrod ’05, cheering on Aggie Athletics, and exploring new destinations through travel.
As Director of Former Student Programs, Megan will work closely with our Leadership Council to oversee our A&M Club, Class, Constituent Network, and Young Alumni programs. Her passion for the worldwide Aggie Network and her exceptional experience makes her a valuable addition to our team.
Please join me in giving a warm welcome to Megan Hamlin ’09 as she begins this exciting new chapter with The Association of Former Students!
